"I cannot believe that knuckles is dating that bitch!" Rouge was in her house alone, a large mansion built into the foot of a mountain, Rouge enjoyed the finer things in life, and when she wasn't out treasure hunting she was enjoying them. She was succesful, rich... very rich! But her lifestyle was like many others, it lacked something which money couldn't buy, love. Sure it could buy physical "love" but that wouldn't take care of you when you were ill, give you hope in your darkest moments, or simply care for you. It was lonely in the house. She and Knuckles had been dating for a while, till some slutty little vixen had caught his eye, then the traitorous Echidna had the gall to simply text her saying "things weren't working out"...she saw the two of them the next day sucking face. "That traitorous bastard" she thought angrily, thinking back on the day she had been betrayed "*sniff* W-why?! I have everything a man could dream of, looks, money, so...why??!" She started to cry, mourning her crushed heart, she wanted to be loved, she couldn't stand a lonely life. A few days ago she had stolen one of the Chaos Emeralds, the priceless jewels always interested her, but now the jewel only reminded her of her past love. She wanted a man of her own, a man that she could trust and love, to be with her and share his life with her.

Meanwhile... you had just returned from a very stressful day of work, you couldn't help but to go bed and wait for the night to end, a new day starting your daily routine all over. It was tiring, stressful and lonely, no one waiting for you reminded you of your past triumphs or rather failures with the opposite sex. It was annoying and pointless asking a girl for a date. They kept calling you freak, or weirdo when they learned your interests, "you're not my type" was the most frequent line you got when it ended before that stage.
One of your interests happens to be the Sonic the Hedgehog games. One of the things you'd never admit however was that you had a crush on a character, namely Rouge the Bat. You found her attractive and bold, admitting this, was difficult but you finally had. You had a better chance with her than any real girl.
