Continued her walk through the city.

I forgot how nice this place was in spring, Vanessa thought as she continued on her way. Winter seemed to have lasted forever, and then she got stuck with a load of schoolwork; it had been a while since she'd been able to just take a walk. Yesterday it had rained, but today the sky was looking crystal clear. The bad vibes Vanessa had from the store all got pushed to the back of her mind, almost forgotten in the midst of the beautiful day.

*HOOOOOOOOONK*

...Sure, the cars ruined the mood a little, but Vanessa was fine with even that. All part of the city's charm, she thought. To her, everything seemed alright in the world, if only for a moment.

Of course that moment was interrupted when...
