You're not thrilled to be drawing four cards, but even if you lose the hand there will be plenty of time to recover. You're rewarded with a Jack, Ten, Nine... and another Nine.
Staying cool, you table your hand quickly since the ladies made it clear they didn't want anyone slow-rolling and you knew these were not women you want angry with you.
"I'm already wishing this was for cash," Lilith laments. She has made a Jack high hearts flush and starts to look around. You guess she's searching for someone with drinks.
"Indeed. I would be hurting from this hand," Zoey comments. She had a 8 high straight and was smiling about the game's format.
"I can afford to lose the money; my and Sam's egos are glad to keep the clothes, though," Lara added. She only had pair of Jacks, but it was enough to beat you.
You sigh and move to take off your sneakers when you're interrupted. "Down, boy! You're not the biggest loser," Lilith notes and head gestured to Elizabeth. She only had a pair of Fives, and was already working on her boots.
"So... tight" she said as she struggled with her left boot until it finally came off. She set them under her chair.
"You've got lovely feet, Elizabeth," Sam compliments as the cards are dealt.
"Thank you. Better than my hands, anyway," she answers and partly covers her right hand with her left.
You still feel embarrassed for not noting Elizabeth's hand and zip down your hoody a bit just before you check your new hand.
