Military. Flying a plane

Your a F22-Raptor pilot named Rook, getting ready for take off. Doing basic flight checks and maintenance checks, Then you set out with your orders. Take a sweep of the follow area not known to any man. Anyone who gone in, didn't come out. You were daring enough (or forced) to go on the mission. You had a co pilot named John with you, a long good friend. "Delta-1 ready for take off". "Delta-1 you are cleared go go go". A loud explosive sounded as you took off then another came as you past the sound barrier. You were just about to enter the area when a dial flashed. "John Heat Signatures"!" ."I'm on it just do evasive maneuvers". You did your best than the flare system jammed. Your jet jerked hard, you were hit."ROOK EJECT". John ejected but then the canopy closed back down. You ejected and smashed through it and were knocked out. As you looked around you saw you were in.
