As the shadow comes closer, you see that it's heavy and feline shaped, similar to Maggie, except that the neck looked like that of a snake. You look and see that jogging down the street and creating small earthquakes in the process was none other than the town recluse, Isis. Isis was a monster known as a serpopard, an Egyptian monster resembling a leopard with a serpentine neck. Her bright orange fur and yellow and brown spots glistened in the sun and her ankh necklace moved from side to side with every step as her obese form jiggled.
Isis was as big as Maggie, but you knew next to nothing about her since that serpopard mainly kept to herself and never spoke to anybody. Maggie's friend Lily said that Isis was bad news and that she had evil intentions. But Lily wasn't exactly the most reliable source. However, you noticed the rare times you see Isis, she stares at you and you have no idea why. Perhaps she's boggled at the idea of a human monster marriage. Though given she grew up in the human world, that might not be the case. Maybe she was shy or maybe she was predatory. That was an awful thought.
Still you gulp and decide to be a good neighbor. "Good morning Isis!" you yell. The fat serpopard stops in her tracks and then lets out a hissing meow before she lowers her long neck and you stare right into her bright green eyes as her face is inches away from you. You gulp and hope for the best as you step back.
