This choice: Maggie's Expecting Company Today  •  Go Back...
Chapter #2

Good or Bad Company

    by: Unknown
Once breakfast is over, you hear the sound of a car. “Oh,” said Sapphire as she slams her book shut. “That sounds like Ruby. She offered me a lift to school.” Maggie lets out a laugh. “Well, that’s one less thing I have to do today. Have a good day sweetie.” Sapphire kisses Maggie and then kisses you, coating you in even more lion drool. You let out a laugh and wring out your shirt. “And I just got out of the shower. See you later my chubby little kitten.” “Da-ad.” Groans Sapphire as she’s out the door.

Once Sapphire leaves, Maggie does the dishes and then starts to polish the window as you look at her in confusion. Then you see Maggie straightening up the couch from the kitchen table. “Maggie,” you say. “Maggie!” Maggie walks back into the kitchen and lets out a sigh as she picks you up. “Don’t tell me you forgot Neil. I’m expecting company today.” Maggie puts you on the coffee table in the living room and you realize you forgot that Maggie was having someone over. If only you could recall who. With the exception of Barbara Anne, that werecheetah, all Maggie’s friends were crazy. From that conspiracy theorist, chain smoker minotaur Lily to that clumsy, oblivious wereseal Penny.

Then you freeze. What if Maggie’s expecting a visit from family. There was one guest you dreaded; Maggie’s mother Cattleya, or as you called her, the mother-in-law from hell. Maggie’s father died before you even met Maggie, but Cattleya, that battleaxe of a splintercat hated you from day one. Even at your wedding, she was hissing as she gave Maggie away to you. You and that hag couldn’t get along at all. Last time she visited, Cattleya sat her fat ass on you for three hours and you doubt it was an accident. One time you two got so mad at each other, Cattleya actually snapped you up in her mouth and Maggie had to make her spit you out before she swallowed you. If you weren’t the size of an insect to her, you’d personally throw that splintercat out of your house.

Of course, your sister-in-law, that manticore Fiona was hardly any better. Fiona’s asshole husband openly cheated on her and then abandoned her years ago, and on Valentine’s Day to add insult to injury. The manticore giantess was a shell of her former self ever since and the heartbreak had a negative effect on both her body and soul. Fiona was so broken that she’s taken to stalking you. The problem is, you’re her brother-in-law.

You really wish it was friends and not family. There’s a knock on the door and Maggie runs to answer it and you see the company is...

You have the following choices:

1. Cattleya (Your Mother in Law)

2. Fiona (Your Sister in Law)

3. Barbara Anne the Cheetah

4. Lily the Minotaur

5. Penny the Wereseal
