Frankie woke up early (unusual considering she preferred sleeping in and letting the alarm clock annoy her to wake up). Frankie took her night gown off, looking into the mirror reminded her of her lingering thoughts from the previous night. Her food baby bump of a belly had finally disappeared, leaving the feast she had consumed digested. Frankie checked herself out to see any immediate damage from calories, but it seemed that her body was more or less the exact same as last night (what she didn't know was she had put on an entire pound from a single meal).
After putting on some comfortable clothes, she went into the kitchen, remembering the idea she had the previous evening. She pulled out of the fridge many of the half-eaten cakes/pastries from the family's feast. Frankie also got out ingredients to whip up some pancakes with bacon, but these weren't your standard pancakes with bacon. Winning the lottery had let the Heck Family being able to afford some of highest quality food the town had available.
The bacon was enormously fatty, at a price that Frankie never thought she would be ever able to buy. The pancakes were made with whole, creamy milk and butter that was unbelievably good to Frankie when she gave it a taste test (it was also unbelievably calorie ridden, unbeknownst to Frankie). Frankie had to admit, she wasn't the most fond of cooking, especial this early in the morning, but there something fun about it this time around.
As she was getting out the high quality maple syrup, Frankie gave it some more thought on why cooking was fun now. Maybe it was the fact that cooking before always left her frustrated because it always felt like the family was losing money when they ate, it always felt like Frankie had to choose between making nice meals for her family or have money for more important issues like college and health. But now, they had more money than they knew what to do with.
Frankie was preparing the kids' lunches around 7:00 am when the rest of the family finally woke up. What Mike and the kids didn't expect when they got of their beds was alluring smells of fluffy pancakes, sizzling bacon, and the pastries of last night. No one even bothered to put on their regular clothes, the rest of the family walked into the kitchen in their pajamas.
"Frankie, what is that wonderful smell?" Mike was pleasantly surprised by all of the delicious looking food the table was covered with. Frankie gave a smile, "Oh this? I woke up early, so I decided make the family an extra special breakfast." Mike walked over to his much shorter wife gave her a small kiss on the forehead to show his gratitude, even if it was with his trademark stone-cold face.
Axl walked past his parents and started to dig into pancakes. "Holy Crap, Mom! When did you learn to cook?!" Axl said to his mother, all while having his face stuffed with simmering bacon. "I've always known how to cook, I just never had the time or money to really show off my skills." Frankie replied. She took a seat at the table, deciding she too wanted to start devouring some left over cake with bacon. Brick simple said morning and began to eat, not really questioning anything.
Sue gave an excited squeal and when she saw all of the tasty looking food, but then, for a second, she remembered the feast from last night and her worries on growing fat and unhealthy from pig-outs began to creep up again. That was until Mike gave a hearty pat on the back. "Come on, honey, don't you want to have this breakfast your mom made for us?"
Sue took a seat next to her father, and after taking a bite of her pancake, her worries completely vanished. After a speedy scarf down, all the food from the table was inside of the stuffed stomachs of the Heck family. The kids were driven to school, all them having lunch bags that looked quite a bit bigger than usual.
While Mike may have driven the kids to school, Frankie stayed home. As she was the person who did win the lottery, it was decided she would have the majority of control over the money (although the rest of family did have some sort of say over the 300 million dollars). She wanted to spend some of it on something, but was puzzled on what, that's when it hit her:
