Though her army was formidable, Wendy knew she was missing something before she could have a true kingdom conquering force. It wasn't enough to have a glorious princess like herself and a bunch of rank and file soldiers. She needed some middle management, a general so to speak. Because if she didn't have someone to boss her troops around and make sure they're not screwing anything up, well then Wendy would have to do some actual work! Since that was completely out of the question, she needed to find herself someone.
"Now who shall it be.." She said, rubbing her chin contemplatively. She immediately thought of her brothers, but they were way too stupid. Kamek was another choice, but she hated that old bat and the two fought too often for her to be a reliable ally. No, she needed someone important, but submissive enough that she could convert them with her gas. And it had to be someone important! Not just a common enemy, she needed a main character for cryin' out loud.
Wendy stomped her foot and farted to call her troops attention, "Alright you goons! Let's see... you!" She pointed to a Lakitoot (as she called them) who was riding around a cloud of pure fart with a sinister face on it, "I want you to go over to the Mushroom Kingdom and steal me someone... important, but not TOO important. You know what I mean? Someone cool enough to hang out with me, but not so important that they have super loyalty to the princess. Capiche?"
The Lakitoot saluted and flew off, fishing pole in hand. While the lackey went fishing for generals, Wendy spent her time bossing her new cadets around. They were pretty good at fighting, and whenever they seemed like they were tiring out, all Wendy had to do was fart on them and they were suddenly reinvigorated. She had a particularly formidable army, and now all she needed was a general to complete it!
Soon, the Lakitoot returned with a burlap sack on the end of his fishing hook. He saluted his queen, lowered the bag down and undid the straps.
"As commanded," he said, "I've brought you someone important, but not TOO important."
He pulled open the bag just a little bit, and Toadette popped out! At least her head did, the rest of her body couldn't escape from the sack, and even if she could there was no way she could escape all these minions or Wendy herself.
She immediately panicked, "W-where am I?"
"Shut up, peon!" Wendy bellowed, "I'm deciding what I want to do with you. Sure, you're kinda cool, but you're not the coolest. You've been in a few games, mostly spin-offs. I like your face, but your voice is annoying. Hmm, I just don't know if you're rutheless enough, even with my putrid gassing method. If I recruited you, I'd need some way to make you EXTRA evil."
"So what do you think, my lady?" The Lakitoot said while saluting.
"I think..."
