Chapter #6

Greek story line 1

    by: kamper Author IconMail Icon
As his skin and other parts of him cracked and went back to normal there were black clouds starting to form around him. He didn't have much control over that. He was at full power until he was fully free, at which point he could seal a high majority of his power. He waited, knowing full well that the darkening sky, the intense gravity, and the atmospheric effects of his power would attract people around him. Like he predicted, when he was all done and the last of the Sinc left his body, there was an explosion of power that shot up into the sky like a beam of black energy that only served to make mini earth quakes and make the sky even blacker than it already was. However, he quickly moved to remedy this. After the initial energy spike; he dematerialized his swords, transformed into is 'Kamper' form, and started otherwise sealing his power. In the course of a few minutes he was all sealed and exhausted. But even him being completely sealed and exhausted was still stronger than normal humans. So, with his training equipment on and his power more or less sealed, he started walking.

It was luck on his part that his entrance and awakening was not foreseen by whatever beings governing this world. Because by the time he could sense a gaze from a few more powerful individuals, he was long gone. His sealed form was good enough to fool even the Titans from where he was from, there was no way that anyone around here would be able to guess that he had such power. He walked for a while, until he found himself in a city of some kind. For the first time he was grateful of simplicity. From what he could tell, there was nothing that was new to hurt him. This... Realm... was just like his. No abnormal energy or material. In fact, his Realm was probably more diverse than this one.

"Halt!" Said a guard. Kamper looked him over quickly. Just like most of the 'warriors' around here, he wasn't in full armor, or metal armor. He had a large shield on his left arm, a short sword strapped to his waste, and a spear gracing his right arm. One that was now pointing at his head. Other than that though, he had a helmet, a cape of some kind, sandals, and piece that was little better than a loin cloth. Kamper stopped to be addressed by this 'guard'. "What do you want here?"

"Shelter, sir." Kamper said with a bow. Once again, that simple act seemed to melt the hostility of those around him. An ego based pride was easily controlled.

"Very well, watch your step. Cause any trouble and I'll run you through!" He barked, then lowered his spear and let him pass.

Kamper walked around, getting strange looks from people every once in a while. It was probably the way he dressed. Most people were not wearing as much coverings as he was, and his was slightly different then the social norm. So, before he did too much else, he dematerialized his own armor and put on a black sleeveless type of shirt with his pair of dragon lining pants and boots, with a black cloak that he saw being sold at a few places. Finishing the ensemble was his Death Sword on his back and his training gloves on. He had too be careful though, while doing magic or anything out of the ordinary. The larger powers he felt were constantly looking in on people, and him by default.

"What can I do you for?" Asked a merchant.

"Yes, I am new around Greece in general. Who are the strongest warriors?" He asked, which almost immediately caused the man and all those around him to laugh.

"That!... That is the first time I have EVER heard that question!" He laughed, but Kamper was patient and waited for the man to finish. Apparently the question was obvious. "You must be from anther world to not know the answer to that. The Spartans are known to everyone! No one questions who the best is. Even people from across the see and in the heavens know that one. People say that they are decedents of Hercules himself!"

"My thanks." Kamper responded then left before he caught any more attention. But the others were still laughing at him as he walked away. It must be extremely obvious that these 'Spartans' were the top of the warrior ladder around here, for them to just burst out laughing and not go into a game of 20 questions over him not knowing about them. Instead of asking another person, he gleaned the answer or where Sparta was from people around him, then headed there.
