Chapter #5

You try out the sword some more.

While this RC mode is fun, you wanna try something different so you hit the button on the hilt to undo the changes you made and… it just gets stuck without changing anything back…

“Shit…” your head mumbles on the floor.

Getting worried you tap the stump where your head was with the sword and it immediately jerks back, pushed away from your neck by an unseen force a split second before you find your head back on your neck as though you never cut it off! You roll your neck experimentally, earning yourself a few pops and cracks as things realign, but nothing more.

A quick look at your controller has confirmed that it’s back to normal, and when you check the button on the sword you find that its popped back out, ready to be pressed again. You press it in again and it locks in place once more, until you tap the blade against your finger and it pops back out with a snap.

Ah… you think you understand, you cut your leg off and hit the button before taping your detached appendage… the button pops back out again but your limb remains off. You try it again with the stump where it was on your body, and this time your leg is instantly reattached.

You scratch your head… then get an idea! You cut off your foot and then press your RC car to the stump. Once more the controller changes, though this time with far fewer buttons, just enough to wiggle your toes, make your foot jump, and make it roll around.

After playing with your RC foot absentmindedly for about a minute though, you click the button on the hilt and tap your detached foot. The button pops out, and this time you feel a tingle as though to tell you something changed in your foot, but it remains where it was on the floor and when you look back at the controller, ah hah! It’s back to normal. So, the undo function is location specific; tap the stump to return it to normal, tap the detached appendage to remove the traits affecting it… hmm.

You cut off both legs and your head and then push the button on the sword and tap your stomach, but what happens next is strange. Time seems to stop and you find you are visualizing your two legs and head, and realize you can choose which to return to normal and which to leave changed. For simplicity’s sake, you order everything back to normal, and the time stop ends with your body back to normal.

You look at the sword and nod, undo depends on you to tap yourself, or what or whoever you use the blade on to decide what you want undone, useful if you’ve made a bunch of changes but only want to remove one.

So with that in mind what do you use the blade on next?

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Your head again.

*Noteb*
2. Your legs.

3. Something else.

*Noteb*
4. Someone else.

*Noteb*
5. Something else.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
