Amy had already checked most of her bags in at the reception area of the spaceport, and was now carrying on a bag with her. She looked up at some of the holographic displays, confirming that the ship she was taking would be leaving from Gate 3. Finally, she boarded the ship, sinking into her seat with a sigh. It hadn't been easy, making the decision to leave her home and go to another planet. But Amy felt that it was for the best; she felt that staying on Earth would just restrict what she could do, out among the stars.
Less than an hour later, the ship filled up with its passengers and lifted off into the starry sky. Amy observed the outside through the window seat she was in. It was a good enough view for the first 10 minutes of the trip, but eventually it became rather boring to see the same scenery over and over. And it was because of this that Amy nodded off, falling asleep before she knew it.
She was woken from this slumber by the sound of screaming.
