Vanessa handed me a cotton robe to put on. I tied it shut and followed her as she led me to a dining area. We sat down and a woman came up to us to take our order. At least I got some choice in the food I ate. I order a chicken sandwich with a salad and water. I was hungry, but something heavy just didn't sound good to me.
Vanessa for her part was finishing her notes from the morning. She looked at me and smiled. "I hope you aren't too put off by this, I promise we'll make it all worth it when its all said and done."
"I'm not sure how you can," I said.
"Jon, or would you prefer Joan, or Joni, or something else?"
"No one is name Joan anymore," I said. "Or Joni. Why can't I just be Jon still?"
"You could, but your body is changing fast."
"Danielle," I said. "My middle name was Daniel, I guess that works for me." She made a note on her device.
"Danielle," she said. "I want to ask you, what always attracted you to women?"
I thought about it for a little while. "Athletic, but not overly muscular. Average body, the girl next door you know. Hair, could be any, loved a girl in glasses. Outgoing, feminine, but not bimbo, smart."
Danielle kept making notes. "What are you thoughts on the changes so far?"
