When you drop back into reality, you see that you are still standing in the same street as before, however, things look a bit different. The road has been resurfaced and looks much smoother but grips better. The lamp posts look much newer than the ones that were there before and there are strange looking cars driving past that you have never seen before. Obviously you are in the future, but you aren't sure how far. You wander down a few streets until you reach the town hall. Up high on the wall, you see that a digital display has been installed under the original clock. Apparently the year is 2024, meaning you have jumped 10 years into the future. It takes a while to sink in, but you find it amazing.
You wonder how things have changed in your personal life in this time, so you head for your house, hoping that you still live there. When you arrive at the front door, you find that your key from the past still works. You see that the house has been redecorated since your time. As you slowly wander up the hallway, a figure walks past, but then stops when it spots. She may look older, but you can tell that the figure is your girlfriend, Fiona. She looks and dresses more mature, but she still looks beautiful. You work out that in this time, she must be 32. She stares at you in disbelief, then utters one word.
"Matt?" You smile at her, confirming your identity. Fiona, then rushes towards you, tears in her eyes. She wraps her arms around you tightly.
"I don't understand." She says. "I thought I lost you! I thought you were dead!!"
Dead? Why would you be dead? Fiona takes a good look at your face, then gives you a confused expression.
"Why do you look so young? You look just like you did the last time I saw you." She says.
You explain to her about your powers and how you were able to not only stop time, but also travel through time. It seems that the result of you actions, you have been missing for the last ten years. Fiona explains how she thought that you had left her, and then later you were pronounced dead, after nobody could find you.
"Wow. I am so sorry, Fiona. I had no idea that this would happen." You tell her.
"It's alright. I know it wasn't your fault. There's no way you could have known." She says.
"So, what else has happened in the last 10 years?" You ask.
