It was no surprise that when the door opened, Weiss was the one to enter the dorm room. Hearing that explosion made her worry that something had gone wrong and her fears were correct on that. She looked back to the hall to make sure no one else was coming before she shut the door and approached her desk.
Her steps shook the earth when she got close. Thankfully Jaune’s foresight to stay to the side kept him safe but he got a good view of her massive boots that easily outmatched the height of the CCT tower. They’d crush him flat like a pancake if he got close to them, best not to do so.
“Oh no, how did this happen?” The damage wasn’t pretty with broken beakers left on the desk and the floor. No dust left to salvage from whatever experiment she was working on, all of her work gone to waste without an explanation. She had a good guess as to who did this.
“Ruby, if you did this…” She pulled out her scroll and turned from her desk to send a message to her leader/teamate. It was a good guess after knowing her quite well, though she hadn’t realized the real culprit was closer than she’d realized.
If she was in that kind of mood, Jaune thought it was a bad idea to stick around. If she were to spot him then she’ll most likely punishing him or confuse him as an insect and crush him on the spot. No way did he want to see the bottom of her boot.
Taking a deep breath, he turned and started running out from the side and towards the door. What would’ve been only four steps was now about a hundred and not even a sprint towards it would get him there faster. He still tried anyway and hoped that nothing got in his way to freedom. But does he get his wish or will his day get worse?
