Luz was studying in the Hexside library poring over a large dusty tome she found in a disused corner of the library. Fantasy geek that she was she was convinced there was always something interesting to find in large dusty tomes found in disused corner's of the library and she was not disappointed.
A glyph, referred to in the book as a 'strange symbol' the author had discovered. The glyph was simple a circle over top of a cross and Luz wasted no time copying it onto a spare piece of paper. She threw the paper into the air eager to discover what the effects of the Glyph would be, the paper crumpled into a little ball before exploding into a shower of pink sparks which rained down on Luz.
They tickled a bit but didn't seem to have any other affect and Luz was a bit disappointed that the glyph they didn't do anything more dramatic but she figured she could experiment with it later, her free period was almost over so she packed up her books and left the library.
She had no idea at the time but the spell had quite the effect on her and she'd be dealing with quite a bit of drama before things ran their course.
