This choice: See what this new body can do • Go Back...Chapter #6Let see what I can do by: Millie Kelly emerged from the cave, the cool night air a stark contrast to the warm embrace of the water's power. His new body was alive with energy, every muscle twitching and rippling with excitement. The jungle looked different now—less of a threat and more like a playground waiting to be explored. He stepped into the moonlight, his platinum hair shimmering like a halo around his now-stunningly handsome face.
The trees around him looked like toys in his giant hands, and the urge to test his newfound strength was too much to resist. With a roar that seemed to shake the very island, he bent down and wrapped his fingers around the trunk of a palm tree. The fibers groaned under his grip, and with a grunt that could be heard for miles, he yanked it from the ground as if it were a weed in a garden. The tree's roots ripped out of the soil, sending a spray of dirt into the air.
Leaves showered down as the tree crashed to the ground, its fall echoing through the night like a collapsing skyscraper. The tremendous power surging through his veins was unlike anything he had ever felt, and it left him with a feeling of euphoria that was as potent as the water that had transformed him. He flexed his muscles, watching as the moonlight danced over the sweat that glistened on his skin. The thrill of his new abilities was a heady mix of terror and exhilaration.
Kelly's mind raced with the possibilities. He could be the king of this island, a modern-day Tarzan with the strength of a hundred men. Or perhaps he could use this power to escape and return home, a hero with a tale that would be remembered for generations. He took a step forward, feeling the earth tremble beneath his massive feet. Each movement was a symphony of power, a dance of dominance that seemed to thrill the very air around him.
With a grin that was equal parts excitement and madness, he set his sights on a nearby boulder. It was easily three times his size, but to his new body, it might as well have been a pebble. He bent down, his muscles coiling like springs, and with a roar that could wake the dead, he hoisted the boulder over his head. The effort was so easy it was almost comical, the weight barely registering. He threw it into the air, watching it ascend like a meteor before plummeting back to the earth with a thunderous boom that shook the ground.
The jungle animals fell silent, their fearful eyes reflecting the moon's glow as they watched the terrifying display of power. The once-quiet night was now pierced by the sound of branches snapping and trees toppling as he continued to test his limits. Each feat of strength brought him closer to the brink of his new reality, a place where he was no longer just a college boy adrift but a demigod playing in the sandbox of nature.
It was then, in the midst of his revelry, that he heard the stealthy approach of a creature that did not cower before his might—a sleek black panther, its eyes gleaming with a hunger that matched his own. It slithered out of the shadows, its muscles coiled and ready to strike. The panther was a creature of the night, a predator that ruled these lands, but tonight, it had found something that could challenge it—or so it thought.
Kelly's heart leapt into his throat, but his new body seemed to understand the situation before his mind could fully process it. He braced himself as the panther lunged, its powerful limbs unfurling like the wings of a dark angel. The creature's claws sank into his flesh, but instead of pain, he felt an odd sensation—his skin was unyielding, a fortress that even the sharpest of weapons could not breach. The panther's claws retracted, and its eyes widened with confusion. The creature had never encountered prey that could not be pierced.
The panther's teeth snapped at his chest, but the muscles there had hardened into a barrier that not even the mightiest of jaws could penetrate. Each bite was met with a laugh from the transformed man—his body had become impervious to harm, a living bastion of power. The panther's eyes searched for weakness, but found none. It was clear to both that the balance of power had shifted.
With a sudden, playful swipe of his hand, Kelly sent the panther flying into the air. The creature yowled in surprise and landed with a thud several meters away. He sauntered over to it, a smug grin playing on his lips, and crouched down to stroke the stunned creature's head as if it were a kitten. The panther, now cowed by his touch, allowed it, its eyes still wide with astonishment.
"You're just a big pussycat, aren't you?" he cooed, his newfound strength making him feel invincible and a little reckless. The panther, not used to such treatment from a creature it had previously seen as prey, began to purr, its body vibrating against the ground. It rolled onto its back, exposing its soft belly to the giant man.
Kelly chuckled, his deep laugh echoing through the jungle. He reached out and began to rub the panther's belly, feeling the powerful muscles beneath the sleek fur. The animal's purr grew louder, its tail flicking back and forth in contentment. It was a surreal moment, a predator playing with its would-be prey like a house cat.
