Chapter #7
Waking Up, and Everything Seems Normal
by: Unknown
Mark awoke to bluish light coming through the hospital room's window. He tried to remember what time dawn was at this time of year, figuring it was around 6:00.
He heard a rustling to his right and turned his head. Claire and Tina had taken off their jackets at some point -- it was a bit warm in the room -- and now they were both conked out, with Tina's head back against the wall and his daughter leaning against the shoulder of her voluptuous counterpart; she'd just shifted position slightly in her sleep.
Mark's pain was mostly gone -- he just felt a dull ache all over -- and the fuzz seemed to have mostly receded from his brain.
Still, he thought as he turned his head back to look up at the ceiling, I wish this pain was completely gone and I was in great shape.
The fuzz suddenly increased and almost seemed to be shooting out of his forehead.
