Greed made fools of men as it had with Gregor Kozlov. He never should of sold his creation to that low life drug dealer Marcus. His carelessness with the experiment BX 15 led to the Tfpd getting a hold of it. Bx 15 a genetic mix of bull and man produced a creature similar to the mythical minotaur. Now they might be investigating him. He needed the money though to get a better genetic synthesizer. He knew dwelling on the mistakes of the past would not help him now.
Might be time to contact officer Charles Olson and see what else he knows. Olson let him know they held BX 15 in their cells. Wetting Gregor's desire to know more but knowing Olson would only get more information for a price. A quick scan by a dna lock opened the door to his private work shop. He made his way past the various experiments fermenting in varied states of completion to his private office. He slid a wooden panel on the wall open and keyed in a code to a wall safe. With the safe open he grabbed a handful of money to use to ply openness from Olson. He put the money in his pocket. An inconvenient phone call later he set a meeting with Olson. Retrieving BX 15 would be ideal but he didn't imagine the tfpd officers letting him walk it out. Olson might be able to alert when they decided to transport and he could hit them. He did not need this. His work would advance humanity beyond its fragile form.
Gregor nodded to Olson acknowledging him. He turned on an electronic scrambler. The device prevented any recording or video from being used. The park that they met at offered multiple escape options. Olson looked around for any observers before going into a men’s room with an out of order sign he put on it. Gregor nervously looked about before rushing in.
Olson waited for the twitchy Gregor to enter. His smile displaying his eagerness for the pay off. He asked, “What do you want know? I am an open book after a mutual understanding is arrived at.” The scientist tossed a pile of money on a sink disinterested in haggling.
Gregor sneered saying, “I need to know all that is known about the BX 15. Am I suspected? And all details about the transportation of it like when and where. Is there any way that you could sneak it out of the station. I can provide you with a genetic deconstructor if you can get close enough to it. It is a liability I need to either reclaim or properly disposed of.”
Olson thought about the profit and risk. Alerting Gregor of the transportation information on his pet wouldn’t be difficult. On the other hand eliminating the creature himself would be lucrative but risky to carry out in the station. He finally decides…
