Beth climbed out of bed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She was about to leave to have breakfast when her eyes fell upon something silver on the floor. With the curiosity of youth she picked it up. A toy car. Where did it come from? She didn't own it.
For Scott it was a sight he'd never forget as the pudgy fingers wrapped around a two ton car and lifted it up skyward. That was his car, not only that it had everything he needed to have a change at surviving this place. Without thinking he cried out in protest. He never would've thought he'd get a reaction but the "little girl"'s head suddenly swung in his direction and her blue eyes focused on him.
"Little Man!"
The girl's other hand was upon him and Scott found himself pressed into flesh so hard that the air was pushed out of his lungs.
Beth opened up her hand and looked at her prize. It was a little man. She had caught a little man. Her child mind didn't question it, just accepted it. She studied him, as she did so she dropped the toy car which broke into pieces. She heard the little man say something but she couldn't make it out. With her other hand now free she picked the little man off her palm and held him between her thumb and forefinger. The little man cried out which made her giggle.
"Little man." she whispered and gave him a kiss. She padded out of her bedroom and headed to the kitchen.
"MOMMY MOMMY!"
"Good morning dear."
"Look what I found." Beth held up the little man she had found.
"Oh, you found your new pet, dear."
'Pet?' Scott thought. 'Did she just say "PET"!?'
"Be careful with your pet, dear. Daddy brought him all the way from earth."
"Oh, can't i play with him, Mommy?"
"After Breakfast , dear."
The Mother listened to the barely audible sounds being made by the tiny man being held by her daughter "I think he likes, you dear."
His fate sealed, Scott's was doomed to be the pet of a giant girl.
