Smiling slightly as you walk to the pub, you look out through the long window to your left that spanned the length of the corridor, allowing you a view of Viaso's cityscapes. A myriad of vehicles, be they ground based or sky bound, could be seen flitting here and there in the distance. Opposite the massive window, on the cool blue wall, were adverts of various natures. Scanning them as you walk by, your brain picks out a few that seem more interesting than the rest.
Most of them were pretty standard stuff. Cab services, local restaurants, the usual fare. But one advert in particular stood out against all others. In the forefront of this particular ad, several human soldiers stood, their rifles raised and firing at some terror offscreen, their faces hidden by their helms. A hulking soldier in full power armour grappled with some alien terror, the human overpowering the beast. A mushroom cloud dominated the background of the image, a pair of screeching and burning xenos being put down by two helmeted human soldiers. They never show their faces in the ads for some reason. And right in the center of the advert, the words ENLIST NOW! in a silvery stylised font.
Well, that was impressive.
Distracted by the patriotic glory of the advert, you accidentally bump into an alien, the envirosuit wearing triped stumbling. "HEY! Watch it, you-" the alien begins, freezing for a second before hurriedly running off. Being a human had its perks.
Arriving at the pub, you step inside, immediately sighting Terax. Taking your seat next to the vulthoor, who acknowledges you presence with a nod even as he finishes off a drink, you bring out your holopad, ready if he needs to research something.
