This choice: The feast  •  Go Back...
Chapter #7

The feast

    by: ItsMe Author IconMail Icon
         "Well?" Risa asked.
You and at least twenty of the other's are inside the closest hole to Zurv. They are still a little concerned over the man eating cat. You poked your head out and held a single finger pointed up, before going back inside, "Seriously?" You came here all this way and they just decide to get cold feet on the last moment.
You rolled your eyes and stepped out. The first thing you noticed was the strings that draped from the island counter in the middle of the kitchen. From the mouse hole, you were able to see a box of food, unopened, along with a few smaller containers.
Risa was looking at you, then at the hole. She rolled her eyes, "Alright then. More for you, I guess."
You jogged towards the strings and inspected them. There were knots in them for some good grip. It's as if Risa really did expect the micen to use them. She pulled up a stool as your climbed your way up the string. Most micen are able to pull themselves up with their upper body strength alone, but you're better than most micen and zipped your way up in ten seconds flat. There you find out that the string was wrapped around a full bottle of booze.
And oh the magnificent sight before you.
Dozens of bowls, all filled with candies, sweets, fruits, vegetables... meat! Ice cream and even fresh water.
There's more than a month's worth of food up here! It's almost as if she emptied out the whole pantry just for you guys. You decided to lead by example and asked Risa if you may have some. After some confirmation, you reached in a bowl and small candies and pulled out some chocolate. As you bit into it, you noticed the string start to shake. The first one to get up was none other than Anton, followed by Rick. They too were impressed by the amount of blatant calories that were splayed across the table.
By now other people began to warm up to the idea of free food. There were about three strings in total and by the time you finished a peice of candy the size of your head, the counter had almost everyone on it. Risa gave them each a nod as she herself chewed on some steak. You also noticed a saucer of brownish-orange liquid.
As you encroached to it, it gave off a putrid smell and a vibe that it is not to be touched. And considering how isolated it is, why is it there?
Then you remembered, something your mother told you about. Is that... alcohol? Sure, Siegfried at the bar in Zurv had some booze, but most of it was watered down, and from a bottle a rattis was hired to steal. That one bottle lasted for about two years, thanks to tap water. To think there is a weeks supply of pure concentration right in front of you.
You never wanted to touch the daemon's nectar, but it may be your only chance, ever...

You have the following choices:

1. Go for it.

2. Best to leave it untouched.
