The End

"Stand down." Serena said to your surprise.
The micen turned their attention to their leader.
Serena waved her hands above her head and continued, "Everyone, stand down. Our quarrel is over. Our goals are met. You've done well, and you can go home."
"But..." One of the ones one the floor close to her inquired, "What about your child? What about you?"
Serena glared at Risa for a moment before answering, "That's my battle. I'll fight it alone. Go home, all of you. If you won't do it for me, do it for the family you have left. You've helped save their lives. They'll be happy to see you."
The micen took a moment before sheathing their weapons. With their hands free, they all placed their fingers to their brows in a salute. They've dedicated what was left of their lives, both theirs and their possessions, in hopes to kill you. Now they salute the only person who has ever given them a reason to fight, a reason to strive, and a reason to live. They do not expect to see her again.
They were all gone by the minutes end. Leaving and heading to the nearest hole. All of them except Serena, who crawled to the top of the counter. As she crawled and pass other micen on the way up, Risa made her way to the sink.
She stuck a finger down her throat and casually vomited two micen out. You headed over to the sink to see that she had just spat out Mombasa and someone from the Sect. Shieki was also curious and huddled around.
She poked the one in black, whom shivered at her touch, and asked, "You heard all that?"
"Risa," Mombasa asked, "Why did you swallow me?"
"Because if I was going down, you're coming with me." Risa turned on the water and cleaned the two before tossing the Sect member to the side and drying off Mombasa.
"Solace, Risa, Shieki," You turned to see Serena on top of the counter. She removed her armor and fancy get-up and placed it to the side when you had your back turned. "I owe you an apology. While I wasn't wrong to hate you, I cannot justify killing you. Especially you two, Solace and Shieki."
         "What about me?" Risa pouted.
"You killed my child." Serena frowned and gave Risa an angry look. "I'll never forgive you. And I promise you that."
"Promise?" Risa scoffed, before changing her attitude, "Actually, you're pretty dramatic. Did your child make a lot of promises?"
"Rarely." Serena growled, "What are you getting at?
Risa shuffled some hair out of her face, revealing her other eye, "Heh... I remember him. Grimlock, if I heard right. I'll admit, I'd have let him go if I wasn't so upset at the time. He kept his promise. He must've known how to truly treat a lady." Risa cleared her throat and released her hair, "You raised him right. If you were a leona, I'd even shake your hand for raising such a gentleman. I guess what I'm saying is... For what it's worth. I'm sorry."
Serena's ears perked, "Say it again."
"You're pushing it." Risa pointed to her, but caved in, "I'm sorry."
Serena bowed her head and nodded, "Thank you. And I accept any punishment you intend to give me."
Shieki shook her head as Mango and Thorrow sat next to Serena. The leona said "Nonsense. All a misunderstanding. No harm done."
Serena took a breath and was silent for a moment before looking between all the leonas. "What happens now?"
"We live on." You answered and lifted your hand, "Sleep over at my house! In celebration of not getting brutally murdered. You're all invited."

You woke up in the middle of the night with your head swirling as your back was on a blanket covering the floor. You feel hung over, and the bottle in your hand was plenty of enough evidence of a great night. You looked around with a smile on your face. You were surrounded by the friends you've made.
Mango and Serena are sleeping on the coffee table with Sven and what's-her-face on some cotton swabs. By them was a bottle with a little liquor and a micen in it. Jessie, you think the name is. She didn't apologize immediately for teaming up with the Sect against Shieki, but being stuck in a bottle that had a habit of spinning made her squeak out a sorry.
Jason was back in Niarb, rehabilitating off of a drug that Vanner, your newest enforcer you plan on training in the art of obedience, got him addicted to.
Risa was sleeping on the floor, her mouth was full of a disobedient micen. It's empty now, the mouse was lucky. The cat plans on staying with you until the mice get the message that she's not a target anymore. Or until you run out of food. Or both.
Shieki was on the big couch, resting with Thorrow on her forehead. Mombasa was missing, he refused to come along, saying he had unfinished business to take care of. As for Gertrude and Uschi, they were cuddled together on top of your stomach. They were inseparable ever since they found each other.
Geeaness, the Geenie, is likely to be upset you forgot to tell him about the party. He'll complain that he and Bibi could have made a bunch of brownies for it. Like you're going to invite a man to a sleep over. Ha, not with that name.
And by tomorrow, Desio would be the most thriving colony any micen would have ever seen. Mainly because it's ran by someone who could be among their gods and controlled everything anyone eats. It still counts.
In your inebriated state, you smiled.
In a world where the micen are squashed, eaten, and captured and torn, they find the strength to pull through and forgive. You cherish the friends that you've made over what was perhaps the most interesting week of your life. With the food you offer, you'll help them survive, and now, the decisions that they and you have made changed everything in your life, and in correlation, theirs as well and for the better.
As you drift back into a dreary and dreamy state, you can't help but wonder what's going to happen next.

THE END.
