Chapter #6Let the game begin (Rowboat) by: ItsMe "I'd like a rowboat." You answered.
Solace smiled, possibly glad you won't be eaten right away. She picked you up and set you in a boat at the deepest end of the pool. You faced the other end of the pool. To your right was the giant ship with its sails being set out. To your left was another row boat. Each leona took their turn placing hand picked micen in rowboats, and the rest on the galleon.
Your row boat has two other companions, both are female. One is black with blue fur up her arms, like gloves. The other was grey with clumps of brown around her body, with white underbelly fur, long black hair, and amber eyes. One curled her legs and cradled herself in one of the corners, the other looked anxious but kept a brave face. Solace stood in front of the galleon and explained the rules. You didn't pay too much attention, you know what your job is, get to the other side as fast as you can, or at least have fun while getting eaten.
What you did hear and remember was that the rowboats aren't allowed to be targeted until halfway through, and that the event will end by sun down. The sun was nearly at it's highest point, you'll only have a few hours to get to the other side. Also, the leonas are not allowed to stop the galleon from moving forward.
At the sound of a whistle, the galleon started to sail. You grabbed to two oars and started to row. It was a few minutes before your arms got tired, but you managed to keep up with the galleon, soon surpassing it. "Slow down!" The black furred woman told you, "We should take our time, they won't harm us until we get to the middle. There is no need to rush." Her words didn't convince you, nor did they slow you down. The row boat next to you was ahead, having the same plan as you, hoping to beat you to the other side no doubt. No, those endless riches were yours. You rowed faster. "Did you not hear me? Slow it down, are you wanting us to get eaten first?"
You heard a ruckus near the largest ship in the pool. You look to the left and see three leonas at the galleon. One was on the side closest to you, she may have possibly been Donna, the blue one. She stuck her fingers through some holes on the sides, unsatisfied until she pulled out an unlucky mouse and stuffed it in her mouth. The one on the other side was doing the same, but you couldn't tell if the brown fur belonged to Risa or any of the other cats. Beth leaped from the surface of the water and swiped one from the top of the boat. You turned your gaze forward. The grey micen was hugging Blue Gloves tightly.
You noticed behind her was a set of waves and bubbles heading towards you. You almost panicked and rowed faster. "Quit it! Give me those." Blue gloves yelled at you as she pushed aside the other mouse and reached for your oars, abandoning her friend. The bubbles and waves disappeared, replaced by ears emerging from the water. What color were they? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
