You stretch your arms and back as you yawn.
Placing your hand on the side of your neck, you push gently until you hear a satisfying pop. The sun has found the will to peer through the windows above you. The marble floor under your bare feet were cold in the winters dawn. You remember you left the colony a few hours ago, early enough to use the excuse 'getting a midnight snack' but late enough that no one cares. You were tired enough that you slept on a box of grounded coffee beans. You slide off, wondering how to start the day. You looked at the fridge and while walking towards it you noticed a large paper taped to it. upon expecting it. You you inspected it and noticed it had writing on it. "Party at 12" you read aloud.
You hear a loud bang. You scurry behind you and hid aside the coffee box. A leona walked in, nothing special. You believe her name was Beth, she was tan furred with black stripes horizontal down her back, along with a yellow underbelly. She was rather short for a leona but still big enough to swallow you whole and that's all you really bothered to care about. She was carrying a cardboard box with bags filled with food, setting them on the dining table across you. You starred at them. You aren't sure if you've seen so much in your life. She left the kitchen and opened the door again, leaving. Perhaps to get more? Now was your only chance to snag some food.
