Chapter #3

Black-&-white banshee hybrid

by: Dylan M Author IconMail Icon
You both fly down and you look to see that your first ski student of the day was a female Pandaren. She stood at 100 feet tall, small for a monster, must have been a kid, you guessed.

"Hello," she said politely, then she spotted you and her vision seemed to tunnel. "My name's Siobhan" she said.

"Si-bob-han?" Elisa said uncertainly.

The female panda growled in annoyance, clearly used to having had to explain this quite a bit. "It's pronounced Sheh-bahn for those two aren't familiar with it." she said with a shrug, not taking her eyes off you or even blinking. It was making you nervous, "since mom was a banshee, I was given an Irish name. My FATHER was the werebear."

HUH?! She was a hybrid?! Well...that was nothing unusual. But China and Ireland...long distance relationship and unusual combination.

Ooo-kayyy! Could she PLEASE stop staring at you!?

"Say...do you mind if we stop at the lodge, I'd kill for a steak right now." the pandaren asked. Would she PLEASE AT LEAST BLINK?!

"Steak? Aren't pandarens vegetarians?" your Bahamut co-worker asked.

"I'm not," Siobhan said. Her attention still not leaving you.

CRIPS! She's a carnivore?! Was that why you were so firmly in her sights to where she was only just barely acknowledging Elisa's existence compared to you?!

"...or rather, I CAN'T. I was born with a condition that makes it so my body only accepts meat, and to prove it, all you have to do is take a look..."

She smiled and you yelped in surprise, nearly falling off Elisa's scarf.

Only accept meat...no kidding! Siobhan had teeth like a mako shark!

Her smile turned apologetic. "Sorry, little one. Don't worry...I don't eat humans. Well...not the good ones, part of the condition is pretty odd: the lower their morals, the more compelled I am to eat them. Because of that, the Under Gloom warden wants to hire me."

You sigh in relief, thank god for that! But now Elisa was looking confused. "UNDER GLOOM?! How could the warden have the gall to hire you?! You're what? Twelve years old?"

"I was born September 7th, 1988. Malnourishment because my body can only accept one kind of food's made me short for my age." Siobhan growled, her fingers twitching dangerously. As though aiming to strangle someone.

The Behemoth gulped and backed away nervously. "Ahaha...my bad. Sorry!"

You clear your throat, "Well, back to the matter at hand...you're hear to learn to ski, right?" you said, aiming to get this hybrid's attention off your friend.

At that, the banshee/pandaren nodded, then went to get a pair of skis, then held out a paw-like hand for you to climb on.

"Well...you're the instructor, right? Let's go!" she said happily.

Elisa looked miffed at the fact that the newbie wanted YOU to teach her, but you shrug and climb onto Siobhan's hand. Yeesh...! They were so warm, you actually considered ditching the winter-wear.

Placing you deep in her scarf and tightening it so that you think the only way you'd ever get loose would be if you snapped in half, your new trainee wadded towards the bunny slopes, leaving Elisa standing where she was.

"Ready? I know it's not a sleigh ride, but we could have a good time, little guy!" she purred, suddenly with a lustful tone as she started batting her eyelashes.

HUH?!

Before you could make sense of the crazy mood-change, Siobhan propelled herself forward and down the slope. The icy are making you push it out of your mind.
