"Avery's coming here?!" Drew nods her head. "Oh boy," you groan. "Looks like Dr. West let her out to visit her mom. I guess it's only fair." Avery was a chimera you knew who was in the mental hospital at Gravefield Beach. She was a giant landshark with suction cupped arms like an octopus and the freezing powers of a yuki-onna, which left into questions what kind of monster Zoe had her with.
Usually Avery was nice and sweet, but when she saw blood or anything that reminded her of blood, she went crazy. When that happens she could pile drive Roxy despite your gargoyle friend being A) more than twice Avery's size and B) way too heavy for a monster Avery's size to lift. It all started when she was twelve and she and her human boyfriend were kidnapped by a vampire serial killer. The murderer through some strange method caused Mark to generate so much blood that he inflated and exploded. The killer was going to drown Avery in her dead boyfriend's blood.
However, Avery went berserk and tore the killer to pieces with her teeth and was rumored to have eaten some. When the cops finally showed up, Avery was the one to be arrested and was given 25 years in the K.D.P. You're certain that Avery being put in a mental hospital at such a young age screwed up Zoe. But still Avery and Zoe were family and you doubt they got to see each other as often as they like.
"Okay Drew," you say. "We better go find Zoe. She deserves to see her daughter again. I must admit it was kind of her to let Avery have a human boyfriend. Maybe she wouldn't eat me if she knew I wasn't a fairy after all." Drew shrugs her shoulders but then she starts to slither as you stand on her shoulder. It would probably be a good idea to find Zoe before Avery arrived. Last you checked, the blind hammerhead was snowboarding.
