Then the thought came to me; what does everyone wish for? Money!

And so I made the wish, and as soon as the thought was formed my mother entered the room. Hysterical.

"We've won! Finally!" she squealed, and I could see she was brandishing a lottery ticket. Looks like we've won $2 million, Mom explained. Hell, enough to live off don't you think? So I suggested we celebrate like rich people did; with way too much, way too expensive food.

And, with a bit of persuasion and a bit of wishing this became our life. It was beyond a dream, overeating constantly and always having more available. Mom fought it hard at first, but soon she mellowed out into a sea of constantly available deserts, third courses and "um sorry... can I get that fried?"

Naturally, that's when the pounds started piling on.
