Very strange... if it is an egg, it's from no creature you've ever heard of before. Plus, it's huge! It's a little over a foot long, and just a tiny bit cool to the touch, as if it'd been warmer not too long ago. You stroke your fingers along it, admiring the wrinkly ridges all over it. Your eyes drift half-shut as a dull haze starts to spread through your mind. There's something... compelling about it, but you can't quite put your finger on it. Leaning closer, you take in a deep breath, feeling that haze pour through your skull and making your eyes roll back. That's nice... who would've let such a nice thing just sit here all alone?
It shudders a little under your fingers. Oh, is it getting cold? That's not good... a memory of eggs needing to be incubated floats through the fog in your brain. You grab some more pillows and blankets, making a nice nest for it, but leaving the top still exposed. You stare at it for a moment, wondering what to cover it with, then think... maybe you could sit on it? You're warm, and it's easier than trying to use a heat pack or a light.
First things first, you gotta deal with the window. Covering the egg with a pillow for now, you use a bit of cardboard and duct tape to seal off the outdoors. You'll have to call someone to come replace it some other time. For now, it'll do.
Cranking up the thermostat to compensate for the lost heat, you go back and remove the cushion, exposing one end of that dark green egg. Your pupils dilate at the sweet warm smell that washes over you, clearing away any second thoughts. You climb awkwardly onto the couch. The impromptu nest is floppy and hard to get overtop of, but you manage it. Spreading your legs, you swing over to straddle the whole nest, wiggling your hips a few times to get balanced properly. Your crotch gently presses down against the top surface of the egg, making you sigh as the heat swells through you down there then sends a warm wave up over your body. Settling down more, you tuck the blankets and pillows in a little closer so that there's no gaps.
Satisfied, you wiggle one last time and look up from your work. Your room is quiet, but your phone is nearby and so is your TV, and you place a few more cushions around your lower back so you can relax a little on your perch.
