For his first targets, Sasuke chose his two most rabid fangirls, Ino Yamanaka and Sakura Haruno. The two had broken off a friendship over their mutual attraction to him, and of all the girls in his year, they were two of the highest scoring.
Ino, for instance, had the absolute highest cumulative, overall score in their grade, and Sakura was one of the most studious people in the Academy, with the best scores in the theoretical areas. Both were intelligent, in their own way, and Ino in particular had good, strong shinobi genes that could only benefit the next generation of Uchiha.
Furthermore, both girls had frequently professed their affections for him, in very unsubtle ways. Before, he had brushed them off in order to focus on his studies. But now.
Oh, but now...
He would take them up on their offers, both spoken and unspoken. He would give the two girls everything they needed from him, and everything he needed to give them.
They would make an excellent start.
Sakura was the first he tracked down. She had already taken her test, a while before Sasuke himself, and she had quite vocally announced her passing grade. In particular, she had been beaming very girlishly in his direction, looking rather... cute, in all honesty. But now, Sakura was sitting by herself, cheerfully reading through one of their class textbooks.
She brushed a strand of long pink hair out of her face, and Sasuke wondered for a moment who had started that preposterous rumor about him preferring girls with long hair. I mean, to be certain, he could appreciate the aesthetic appeal, but it was rather impractical for kunoichi.
Well, he could correct that later. But first things first.
"Hey, Sakura," he said, greeting the slender pinkette. "You look pretty cute, today.
"Sa-Sasuke-kun...!" the lass yelped, practically jumping out of her seat as she whipped her head up to look him in the eyes. She was blushing a deep, rosy red that very closely matched the color of her outfit. Her eyes were wide, half from shock that he had acknowledged her existence with anything more than an irritated grunt, and half with the sheer blind adoration that she and most of the other girls in Sasuke's age bracket held for him. "Y-you do...!"
Whatever she was about to say, it did not get finished. Sasuke pressed an index finger softly to Sakura's lips, smiling confidently as he looked into her gleaming emerald eyes.
"Hush," he told her. "Don't talk. Just look into my eyes..."
Onyx orbs, even as he spoke, tingled and burned before morphing, shifting and changing into the crimson and sable of his eternal mangekyou sharingan. For a moment, Sakura stared into his eyes with wonderment, transfixed. Time seemed to stand still as they gazed into one another's eyes.
Then the moment passed, and the genjutsu ended.
Sakura's eyelids drooped a little, pupils unfocusing for a second as a pattern mirroring his sharingan briefly seemed to flicker in her eyes. She smiled, then, and nodded slowly.
"Of course, Sasuke-sama..." she murmured, having received her mental instructions.
Sasuke allowed himself a small, victorious smirk, nodding back at Sakura before turning to go look for Ino. The pinkette seemed to return to her normal temperament and behavioral patterns once eye contact was broken, but Sasuke knew that the commands had been successfully implanted. When the time came, he would give her a more thorough conditioning, but until then just this much would have to suffice.
Next, he sought out Ino, managing to catch her right as she exited the testing room. He repeated the process with her, looking into the girl's eyes and giving her instructions via genjutsu. She nodded, smiling, addressing him as "Sasuke-sama," before returning to what she had been doing once he left.
And Sasuke, smirking, went outside to do a bit of light target practice.
The commands had been planted. They would meet him at the specified place, at the specified time.
Now it was just a matter of waiting.
But where did they meet him, and when? Behind the Academy, once it let out? Or at the Uchiha compound, sometime in the evening? Or perhaps inside a certain shed, in a certain clearing, well after dark?
