"Um... not really," Cindy squirmed, the reality of that suggestion seeming just a little too real right now.
"Hm," her mother looked her up and down, apparently trying to work out quite what her daughter was really looking for here. "Well, you realise that might be a bit of a problem with the regular kind of diapers, sweetie. They don't exactly come on and off in a hurry, or go back on too easily."
Cindy gave her mother an odd look. This response was almost the exact opposite of what she might have expected around all of this.
"Do you want me to use them?" she enquired awkwardly, in near disbelief.
Her mother shrugged,
"I just don't want to waste whatever we get for you," she dismissed blithely. "But don't worry; how about we get you some of the pull-up kind? You know, like the ones you wore when you really were potty-training. Then it doesn't matter if you do want to have the occasional little 'accident', but then the rest of the time we can just get your trusty old training potty out for you to sit on instead. Sound good?"
