Cadence begins to feel hot and bothered (Her POV)

Cadence wasn't feeling well.

But It wasn't a fever or any illness for being alicorn eliminates that chance.

It was her heat coming, the time of the year when a Mare enters her most fertile day.

A mare can get pregnant any moment of the year but heat season it was is when breeding becomes a need is the more pronounced, their bodies begs and demands said breeding to be fulfilled and a foal to be conceived and birthed.

Of course, it was on those very old days where mares have to listen to their instincts to finally get their sanity back but ended up getting pregnant and as result, Equestria had big but expected population growth each generation until this century.

Heat was mostly controlled via potions nowadays but in doing so, each new generation colt and stallions were becoming a rarity, Nopony knew for sure why but some began to blame on the potions that only affected mares and their genetics, making them birth more fillies than colts, colts is like winning the lottery nowadays.

So far the Potions were discarded decades ago for messing with the gender ratio and the problem with the heat returned only worse as Stallions were scarce now and herd type of relationship was reintroduced part, Cadence might be married and in a seemly monogamous relationship but that's just appearance for their open relationship.

Cadence grunted in growing frustration, feeling of her loins itching remiding her of her condition begging her to breed and her husband wasn't in home, training the troops like if he were still in the guard.
