With all the athleticism that she could muster (which to be honest was not much), Jade West scrambled for the side of the hallway.
Of course, this was easier said than done as she was quickly knocked off her feet by all the tremors of massive footsteps, converging on her like a herd.
Jade's first obstacle was a massive boot, the wind disturbance wiping up her hair. Looking up, Jade recognized Meredith, the girl that had tried to "steal" Beck from her two years prior. "Watch where you're going you gank!" Jade screamed, only for her voice to be drowned out by the myriad of conversations.
Shaking her head, Jade continued to try and reach the wall only for a shoe to slam into her, sending her flying forward, landing by a pair of gigantic Converse.
Catching her breath, Jade felt her draw drop and her pale skin drain of what little colour it had as she looked up.
Towering above her, like the goddess of the goddesses, was Tori Vega. But not the Tori Vega she saw every day. This was the Tori that haunted her nightmares. Indescribably powerful, capable of readily overwhelming Jade, and beauty beyond compare.
"You know I bet she still weighs less than you." A voice cut into her musings.
Turning her head, Jade saw Sikowitz, only just taller than her, leaning against the wall. "Hello." He waved. "Now yes, I did shrink you. This is just a projection so don't bother attacking it."
"Why the fuck did you shrink me!?" Jade demanded.
"To teach you a lesson." He waved off. "Now I'll make you a deal. If you can get Tori's attention, tell her that she's the bigger woman, and mean it... you'll get your size back."
"And if I don't?"
"You'll stay this size forever and very likely get stepped on." Sikowitz said in a tone that suggested he was very interested in this scenario. "Now before I go, keep in mind that I might have been lying about the whole "get your size back" part." He smiled before the projection vanished.
Before Jade could even process this, she felt the titanic Latina begin to move causing the goth to grab onto the left Converse for dear life.
Holding on was both the hardest and the most embarrassing thing Jade had ever had to do but it paid off within two minutes when Tori sat down in a classroom. With monumental effort, Jade hoisted herself upwards and onto the frayed blue surface of the shoe as she caught her breath.
Listening to her friends' conversation, Jade began to plot revenge as none of them even questioned where she was before the teacher called the class to order.
Jade rolled her eyes and contended herself to lie down on Tori's shoe. There was no way she could get the Latina's attention now. So she might as well get some rest in.
Staring at the bottom of the desk, Jade soon lost track of time before she was suddenly jostled back to awareness as Tori's foot began to tap, likely a sign that the boring lecture had caused Tori to also lose track of time. Of course Jade had no way of knowing that Tori's foot had fallen asleep and she was trying to wake it up.
But being thrown around like a leaf in a storm, these things meant nothing to Jade as she scrambled for the tongue of Tori's shoe, relatively safe from all the quakes.
Using one of the massive laces as a grappling line, Jade managed to reach the top before Tori lifted her whole foot up and slammed it down several times, trying to get some life back into it.
How do the quakes affect Jade?
1) Jade falls backwards into the shoe, ending up beneath the arch of Tori's foot. Safe from the stomping but unable to touch Tori and get her attention.
2) Jade falls forwards and onto the floor. Just as she gets her bearings, Tori's foot begins to descend once again. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
