"Pass me the green crayon please." Alice asked and received it as quickly by her cousin, even if the few bits of dip were on the bottom of the crayon. "Thank you." The picture was nearly done, she only needed to scribble some more green on the ground to form grass that surrounded a pretty flower. She always did like flowers and thought that someday they could grow as big as the trees themselves. Her cousin, Faith, didn't think so but she wasn't gonna stop believing in that idea.
"And done. What do you think?" Holding her paper above the small bowl of chips, Faith showed off her drawing of a young girl with blonde hair and a nice dress on her. Of course she made a drawing of herself, and she couldn't help but show off how cool she looked.
"You just made a drawing of yourself." Alice said.
"So? I'm allowed to draw whatever I want!"
"Oh very funny, Faith." Though annoyed at the future artist's response, Alice patted her shoulder, "It's good to see you again, it really is."
"Yeah, I'm so glad you decided to visit." Faith smiled brightly while taking a chip out and plunging it into the dip for her to snack on. "Oh, that reminds me of something!" She stood up and walked to the other side of the room where she got a small box. "My grandfather gave me this for my birthday last month."
"Oooh, what is it?"
"It's nothing special, just some of these." Once she made it back over to Alice, Faith opened up the box and inside were two amulets, one red and one blue. "He told me these were special, they were made long ago and he had it kept for himself for a long time."
"So why did he give them to you now?" Alice asked as she was tempted to take one of the amulets for herself while pushing aside some of her black hair to see.
"I don't know. But I waited until now because I wanted to let you have one." Faith set the box down near the chips and dip and raised both necklaces up. "So which one do you want? The Red or the Blue one? I don't mind whatever you choose."
