"They want to do what??" Lisa asked, not sure she'd heard right.
"You heard me Lisa. They want to swap you with someone else. Not just your life... or Stacey's life, but entire bodies... again. They want to see if they can replicate the results of the mishap that intially swapped you and Stacey."
"Why? If that wasn't supposed to happen. If its a bad thing why are they wanting to replicate it?" Lisa asked, concerned.
Erica sighed, then lowered her voice a little more. "Like I said, the directors running this place now aren't the same ones who were here when I started working for the company. They're much more... colder, heartless, however you want to describe them." She then took a look up at the camera in the far corner of the room and began speaking loudly again. "We'll have to continue this exam another time Ms Hale, something else has come up." Erica said in a clear voice, as she gestured to the door with her eyes.
The whole thing was starting to get Lisa really scared, a shiver ran down her new spine as she got to her feet. "Where's Stacey?" she inquired, worried about what might be happening to her original body.
"I don't know. I wasn't assigned to her, I got you." was Erica's honest response.
"But I need to know where my body is." Lisa protested as Erica gently took hold of her arm.
"You should be worried about yourself as you are, not as you were. Be prepared for the fact that you may not be getting your body back Lisa, I'm sorry." Erica whispered, as we began walking through the hallway.
All Lisa could think was that this had all gone to shit real fast.
