“Hey, Damien! It’s after 9, buddy. Are you up?” Karen said, as she suddenly knocked on Damien’s bedroom door.
“Umm… Y-y-yeahhh…” Damien stuttered.
Right away, the door opened. Since Damien was buck naked, he quickly grabbed his bedsheets and pulled it over his groin while he sat on the floor.
“MOMM!” he whined.
“Oh, Damien! I’ve seen you naked before. Oh, wait a sec. What happened here? Stand up there for me, buddy!” his mom ordered. She noticed how her son looked different. He looked bigger!
Damien slowly got up, with his head almost bumping into the light fixture for the second time. He was so tall, he almost didn’t even fit in the room, with his hair brushed up against the ceiling tiles.
“Hey! You grew! You finally grew!” Karen cheered. “You discovered your powers!”
Then Karen stepped out of the room and shouted through the hallway.
“Hey, Kyle. Come and see your brother. He discovered his powers!”
Older brother Kyle came running into the bedroom, smiling as he looked up at his giant, towering, 10-foot-tall younger 10-year-old brother.
“WOW! Looking awesome there, little… Uhh… BIG bro!” Kyle grinned widely. “You’re gonna be the big brother from now on! Sweet, huh?”
“What… Why… You guys know about this? Why aren’t you guys acting surprised?” Damien asked his two smaller family members, totally looking down at them.
