Whimpering, Sunset was set onto the fairly cold changing table.
Rarity understood her daughter was not too thrilled to be in a dirty diaper right now. So many people around to comment. Very embarrassing.
So, she hurried along more than normal.
Undid the tapes, Rarity lifted Sunset's legs up.
Sunset began to cry as the wipes were used, hating the sensation.
Rarity cooed, "You're okay, baby. You're okay."
Soon enough, the wipes and dirty diaper were thrown away with one hand. The other still held Sunset's feet.
Slipping the fresh diaper under Sunset's bum, Rarity could now finish the whole process off with a hefty amount of baby powder.
Diaper pulled over, Sunset heard the noise of tapes being stuck on her cloth's sides.
Rarity deposited every supply back into the bag, and brought her baby up into her arms again.
She snuggled her sweet-smelling child, saying, "Oh, aw! See Sunny? Diaper changes not so bad, are they?"
Sunset didn't bother replying, too relaxed by her mother's steady bouncing her up/down. The warmth also assisted in keeping her calm.
Rarity slowed unlatched Sunset's grip on her, so the baby could be put back in her stroller.
Buckling her up once more, Rarity strolled out into the eating area again.
The girls from before had made room for the mother and child. Rarity didn't expect that to happen, but went along.
Wheeling the stroller over, she released Sunset from the protection. Sitting down, Rarity pulled sent into her lap.
Mystery Mint commented with worry, "Is Sunset...going to...go again for some time? 'Cause I don't want to be eating, then have to smell-"
Rarity rolled her eyes, "Since you asked, she's fine for right now. Will take a bit before she needs another diaper. Honestly though, it would be more uncomfortable for her to sit in it than your nose to smell. Please, leave any talk of her going potty out of the conversation for right now. I don't want her getting upset."
"Hey, just asking."
"Well, kindly, don't."
Mystery Mint shrugged, seeing the mother's aggressive side take hold at the thought of getting Sunset crying again when it could be avoided.
Paisley decided to start an entirely different discussion, to cool off the anger that began steaming off Rarity, "Sooo...did you want us to wave the waitress over? We had ordered before you two even came. I'm sure the cook can get a couple more orders in with the rest of our own."
Rarity said with a grin, "Why not? Though, Sunset can't eat the food here. Her teeth haven't even grown in yet. Still on the bottle, you know."
"Ah. Well, I'll just get her attention, then."
Paisley tried to wave calmly, at first. Yet, when two minutes went by, her arm started to hurt from being in the air for so long.
She groaned, "Ugh! Sick of this! Goin' in, gals! Wish me luck."
Then, got up from the table, and literally marched into the kitchen herself.
Naomi said in fright, "I hope she'll be okay. I would hate for her to get thrown out. That's why we don't go to the computer room anymore..."
Mystery spoke with a sigh, "Don't forget the restaurant that opened up a few weeks back. And, the lost-and-found table. ...The boys' locker room, too. Though...we weren't supposed to be in there in the first place, anyways."
Cloud decided to intervene on the yelling in the kitchen before things got out of hand, "Be back soon. I swear that girl's more trouble than a school bully sometimes."
And, left to deal with her friend.
Apple Fritter was wondering something, asking, "Rarity...does Sunset think being a baby's...fun? I mean, it...doesn't sound horrible. Kinda...a sweet deal, actually. My opinion on the whole thing."
...
Mystery, Naomi, and Aqua gave the girl a confused stare each, to which she said in defense, "What?! Sounds cool. Naps whenever, playing with toys whenever, everyone calls you compliments! I even heard babies have better senses, so...maybe a common bottle of milk tastes ten times better! ...And, a diaper feels basically just like a pillow, I'd bet."
Even more confused stares.
She glared at them, "It's not weird to wonder! You all need to be more open to other points of view!"
Still staring.
She said with a crossing of the arms, "Whatever."
Rarity giggled, responding, "Apple, dear, I wouldn't know about that. You're free to ask Sunny in a few days though. Don't try right now. She needs to get better adjusted to her new age."
Cloud now brought a mad Paisley on her return to the table, with the captured girl frowning.
The girls switched spots at the request of Cloud, saying Paisley isn't allowed on the end anymore.
Grumbling, she agreed.
After a few minutes, the food was brought out, with the waitress giving Paisley her's last.
Rarity asked the woman what the bill would be for her own meal, which the worker said, "No charge. Your...friend's very persuasive."
Paisley grinned, winking at Rarity.
Rarity had been given a cucumber sandwhich, with olive oil dressing on the side.
She wouldn't dine until her little one had her fill though.
Pulling out a pre-made bottle, she lifted Sunset with her chest and arm as support.
Sunset was surprised by how thirsty she had been. Her arms attempting to snatch the bottle away, so she could down it as fast as possible.
Aqua grabbed Rarity's attention, ceasing the descent of the bottle into Sunset's mouth.
The girl blushed, asking, "...Can I feed her? I...would really like to."
Rarity saw no issue, so passed the baby off until she reached Aqua's awaiting arms.
The bottle was handed over, and Aqua immediately began to feed the child.
Sunset stared up at Aqua while drinking, not really paying much attention to her aside from the deep smile the girl showed.
Aqua said softly, "You're so cute. Wittle baby loves her milky-wilky. Yes, she does. I'm sure she does."
She continued breathing out soothing words, which added to the sleepy effect the bottle had on Sunset.
The milk did taste delicious. So, so tasty. A little bit of sugar had been poured in before, giving the milk a kick of sweetness.
Her eyes slowly closed. Her suckles on the bottle slowed.
Sunset was soon uanable to stay asleep with everything nice going on around her.
