You can't believe your eyes! He's.. he's a fox! His red hair seems more straight and short than before, but aside from that his whole body is that color! Well, minus his arms, legs, and torso. He's just sitting there, eating cereal, reading comic books.. and he's an animal. A red fox. What the hell.
You grasp at the air for a logical reason your brother has become this. His muscles are more defined, and his hands, well, paws, are tipped with sharp black claws at his slightly shorter fingers. His thumbs seem to have slightly distanced themselves from the rest of his fingers, but otherwise look just like before. Dark, tough pads dot each of his finger joints and a large one on his palms.
You notice a tuft of fur sticking out of the front of his shirt collar, and that it's got three buttons undone instead of the typical one.
"Je-jeez, And-yy.. What's happened to you?!" You yell at an uncertain volume.
Your relatives glance at Andy, then eachother, then at you.
"What are you talking about, Jesse?" Your mother asks, confused.
"He.. Andy's a fox!" Your voice cracked on that last word.
Your family thought you were making a cruel joke about your brother's species, but they heard genuine confusion in your exclamation.
"Jesse, he's always been like this. Do you need to be checked out?"
"N-no.. I don't think so-" You're interrupted by Andy.
"Yeah, come sit down before you hurt yourself, big guy." His voice has deepened incredibly. Not that it's scary, but yesterday you swore his voice was still breaking in, and now he sounds like a fifteen year old!
"Uh.. Okay.. jeez.. maybe I bumped my head today," you say, rubbing your right temple and then snagging a bite out of your cereal. You know you didn't bump your head, but it's been enough drama at the table today.
You glance at Andy a couple of times, and realize he's also gained height. His head is at your neck, when you remember his head barely reaching your shoulder when you sat down. "Jeez," you remark. Did he hit fox puberty while you were out?
"What?" Your brother asks, turning to you.
"You definitely got taller than I last remember," you tell him quietly, taking your last bite out of your bran flakes.
He looks as awkward as a new teenager could be after a compliment. "Y-yeah, I guess I'm not quite a kid anymore. Hey, you didn't forget today, right?"
"What?" you chuckle.
"You know what I mean!"
Your fox sibling explains,
