Not wanting to put this off if you're going to do it, you stand up. "Alright, I guess I'll.."
"Wait, Bruce..." Annie says, reaching out to you. She hesitates, holding that pose for a second before continuing, "I'm asking a lot already, but... there's something I want to try."
"Okay... what is it?" you ask.
Annie closes her eyes and breathes, "I'd like to switch bodies with you."
What? This didn't need to get weirder. And that would mean she'd be a guy...
"But I'm not..." you begin to object.
"If you were in my body, you would."
Now you're confused. "But you said you weren't attracted to men."
"I am, technically..." Annie says. "I'm bisexual. But... I just can't bear the idea of being with a man..."
Well. That sounds like a serious personal issue there. Dare you ask, "Why?"
Wait, crap, you just did. Predictably, Annie turns away and says in a hushed tone, "I don't want to talk about it." After punishing you with a brief silence, she gets back to the matter at hand. "I know that as a man, you wouldn't want to be with another man. But if you're going to be a woman anyway... do you think you'd be able to change that about yourself, too?"
"I don't know," you sigh, trying to picture being a woman and being attracted to a man... no, being Annie and being attracted to your own body. "You don't think it would be weird to... to get intimate with... yourself?"
Annie seems to be deep in thought. But then she shakes her head and smiles, "We won't know unless we try."
Well that just sums it up, huh? You should at least make an effort to please the girl of your dreams... even if it means being the girl of your dreams. And on that note... if it doesn't work out, you should at least get some enjoyment out of having Annie's body to yourself for a while. You tactfully decide not to mention that, of course.
"Alright, what the hell," you say. "Let's try it."
Annie's eyes widen. "Really?! ...Oh, I thought for sure I was reaching too far! Thank you!"
As you watch her squeal with a girlish glee rather unbefitting of what she's excited about, you can't help feel a bit discouraged by her enthusiasm. It's too late to turn back, but now you really hope you're not making a mistake.
"Oh, I'm so excited!" she needlessly declares. "When should we have it done?"
