"Hmm.. I don't know.. there's so many to choose..." The teen muttered
"ugh, common, just pick SOMETHING" Tommy whined.
"Alright alright.." Eric quickly looked around the room for something that would interesting to transform his friend into.
It was then that his eyes spotted a bowl of fresh grapes on Tommy's desk.
"hmm....... I guess that would be neat.."
"Alright.. I picked one" Eric spoke
"What did you pick?"
The teen chuckled. "It will be a surprise!"
".... alright then" Tommy's voice was a little nervous.
Without saying another word Eric tightly pulled on the trigger.
*FLASH*
Eric stared down on the carpet where his friend had just been standing.
" Wow... It really worked. " There on the floor was his friend... a grape.
Slowly walking over to his position, Eric carefully leaned over and pinched the sides of the grape[Tommy] between his two fingers.
Effortlessly lifting it up to his face, he examined the small fruit.
"hmm.. looks legit to me..."
The teen then made his way to Tommy's desk to compare him to regular grapes.
Eric grabbed one of the freshly plucked grapes and placed it next to Tommy.
"Wow... almost identical..cool.."
The only real difference between the two was that Tommy had a tiny red speck that distinguished him from the other.
'Well... I guess it can't be completely perfect.." The 15 year old muttered.
Eric shifted himself on the chair and accidentally stepped on a remote control that was on the floor.
The teen quickly turned in surprise as he heard the sound of the television behind him.
He was about to reach for the remote to turn it off when he realized his favorite show was on.
"Alllright! This is the new episode! I almost forgot!"
Eric stared down at his small grape friend for a moment
"Ahh, he doesn't like this show anyways. I'll just change him back after it's over"
Carefully placing Tommy on the desk next to the bowl, Eric returned his attention to the television screen .
About five minutes into the show, the teen's stomach began to growl.
"Ugh, I knew I should have eaten something..." the boy groaned with hunger.
He then placed his attention on the bowl of grapes behind where he had placed Tommy.
"eh, he won't mind if I take a few.." he spoke out loud.
Reaching his hand into the bowl, he grabbed a handful and began chowing down.
Another ten minutes later, Eric's cellphone began to ring in his pocket. Still focused the show, he pulled the phone out, only to lose his grip on it, causing it to fall onto the carpet below. He started to bend over to reach the phone, all while reaching for more grapes with his other hand. The multitasking proved too much for him as he lost his balance on the chair. Without thinking, he quickly reached out for something to steady himself with. He grabbed the grape bowl, causing it to jolt forward, sending Tommy flying off the side of the desk and onto the floor. The rest of the grapes quickly poured out all around him.
"SHIT!!!" Eric cursed.
Deciding to ignore the phone call, Eric got down on his knees and began picking up the grapes.
"Red speck... red speck ... red speck" he chanted to himself as he examined all the grapes he could.
After examining each grape he would place it back into the bowl if he couldn't find the red speck.
He was nearly half way through when he found it.
"There you are!" The grape clearly had a small red speck on it's side.
"Phew... that was a close one, sorry buddy..."
The teen reached down and began scooping up the rest of the grapes, pouring them all back into the bowl.
He didn't worry too much about germs. The area of Tommy's floor that they fell looked relatively clean.
Placing 'Tommy' on the bed next to him, he returned his attention to his show; absentmindedly reaching back into the bowl for more yummy grapes....
