The Butcher's Shop

    by: InfiniteBull Author IconMail Icon
Destiny exits her home and prepares to take flight. When she remembers she doesn't have wings she growls to herself and starts walking. "Can't believe this! Wade is gonna get it, but first I need some meat!" she mutters to herself. Being a werewolf must be affecting her hunger. Now she can only think about having delicious juicy meat. "Thank god I don't have a craving for humans." Being a gargoyle, she has a natural instinct to protect humans, it would be bad if she started eating them. although she might make an exception for Wade at this point.

She finally reaches the butcher shop and enters, causing the bell on the door to sound. The smell of meat hits her new wolf nose and she gets even hungrier. "This can't be what werewolves go through everyday." she says to herself. "It must be because these instincts are so new to me..." From behind the counter the butcher, a tall dragon, waves at her. "Hey there! What can I get ya?" he asks. Destiny walks over and looks at the various meats on display behind the glass. "Just...get me anything. Beef, chicken, it doesn't matter." she says. The dragon gives a laugh. "I figured as much. Most werewolves aren't picky about their meat." he says as heads into the back. Destiny scowls when he says this and waits for him to return. While she waits the door opens again and a muscular werebear walks in. Upon seeing her he grins and approaches. "Hey there, gorgeous." he says smoothly. Destiny glares at him. "Whats a wolf as pretty as you doing here?" He doesn't even notice that she's beginning to growl slightly. "How about we get together and I'll give you a bone?" He tries to places his paw on hers but then she grabs it in a flash. "Hey! What the-?!" he gasps as she squeezes harder and harder. She growls louder at him as she crushes his paw in her grip. When she finally lets go he rushes out in fear, nursing his appendage. "Men..." she mutters annoyed.

When the butcher returns he has several bundles of meat wrapped up to go. As he places each one on a scale to weigh them he starts punching the price into his register. "I heard the bell ring, did someone else come in?" he asks. "Yeah, but he had somewhere else to be." she says. He just shrugs as he bags up her meat. Destiny pays him and takes her order. "Thanks for your business." he says. "Too bad I don't carry humans, huh?" She just shoots him a glare and walks out. "Geez, she seems nice." he says sarcastically to himself. Once she's outside she pulls a piece of beef out and devours it raw. "That hits the spot." she says, and starts to walk as she eats. Next...
