One show of hands later the decision was made to split up and each try a door.
"I still don't like this..." Marty muttered as the quartet split up, he and Cassy each took a door on the left side of the corridor while John and Tabitha took separate doors on the right. On a given signal from John they opened their doors and stepped through into the rooms beyond.

Tabitha moaned as she stepped into what looked to be a normal bedroom. Her stomach ached from being stuffed as tight as it was and the constant moving she'd had to deal with since then had only made her more uncomfortable. The once limber vixen thief felt like she was carrying a rock in her stomach almost as large as her head.
She began the slow process of checking the room for any hidden ways out, but more and more the soft looking bed called to her. If she could just lay down for a few minutes maybe she'd feel better.
Tabitha had just about checked the whole room when she couldn't take it anymore and turned towards the bed, flopping face first onto it soft surface she was asleep almost before she realized how tired she was.

Cassy meanwhile seemed to have stepped into what looked to be a dungeon at first. Various devices hung on the walls a padded bed with cuffs for hands and feat was in a corner, and a table was laid out with various 'instruments' that gleamed in the dim light.
The unicorn healer would have turned around then and there if something hadn't caught her eye. It was a large wooden chest against he far wall, covered in golden bands of metal. On the lid was a splash of some metallic design with a strange vaguely egg shaped indentation in the center.
Almost without realizing it Cassy pulled out the amulet she'd taken from the room and looked at it. There was a distinct match between the two.
The unicorn took a step forward but hesitated. Did the chest just move? No, surely it had been her imagination and the dim light playing tricks on her.

John was a little surprised when he stepped through the door. Of all the things he'd expected to find in the castle this was certainly not among them.
It reminded him vaguely of the knights weight rooms where they would lift heavy iron to build their strength. Here though the room was laid out with various strange forms of equipment combined with levers, pulleys, tubes, and various padded benches more resembling a modern gym than anything the dragon had seen before. It even included the full wall sized mirrors that encircled the entire room, making it look far larger than it actually was.
John wandered over to one of the nearby hand weight racks and lifted one of the dumbbells testing it's weight. What he failed to see as such was this reflection behind him turn and grin as it watched him from the mirror.

Marty was still grumbling a bit to himself as he stepped into the room. So much so it took im almost half a minute to realize where he was.
It looked like a library of sorts, but better than that, it was a a wizards library. Marty knew right away as he could see many old tome covered in strange runes lining the shelves. And where there weren't books there were jars filled with strange liquids or crystal balls on gold stands. The shelves were actually so tall they disappeared into the dark ceiling overhead.
The majority of the light came from a large stone fireplace set in the wall nearby. Besides that a small candelabra had been lit and placed on a nearby desk, as though whoever owned the room had only stepped out for a moment. And yet the thick layers of dust betrayed the fact no one had been in there in years.
Marty unconsciously started to move towards the desk, the mage's curiosity getting to him. All the books around them, there had to be something worthwhile hidden away in this dusty corner of the castle.
