Mackenzie had to get out of sight of whoever was at that telescope, and she had to do it fast. She figured that the toolshed was more than likely locked, and if the sliding door was unlocked then the Hendersons were probably inside. The last thing Mackenzie wanted was for any more people to see her in this state than already had, especially not people she had to live next to and see almost every day. So, with her arms doing their best to shield her goods from the telescope's view, Mackenzie scrambled to the tree.
Thankful for the ladder leading to the treehouse, making the climb that much easier, Mackenzie quickly ascended the tree and pushed open the trapdoor in the floor. Hoisting herself in, the first thing Mackenzie realized was that it was very cramped. It made sense, as the treehouse had been designed for children to play in, not for a grown woman to hide her nudity in. Finding it impossible to stand, Mackenzie had to settle for sitting on the floor with her knees slightly pulled up. Thankful to at least be under a roof again, Mackenzie took stock of her surroundings. The treehouse had only one way in- the trapdoor in the floor that Mackenzie had used, and two small windows gave Mackenzie a limited view of the outdoors. Namely, one window faced the Henderson house, and the other... faced the house with the telescope!
Bemoaning the unfortunate window placement, Mackenzie did her best to obscure the Peeping Tom's view of her assets, and settled in as she thought of what to do next. Even though it would mean sitting still for the pervert, Mackenzie could wait here until nightfall and use the cover of darkness to move around outside with a bit more feeling of security. But, beggars can't be choosers, and Mackenzie was certainly not above begging at the moment.
Mackenzie sat in the treehouse for an uncertain amount of time before she chanced a look out the window facing the Henderson house. When she carefully peeked out, the sight that greeted her made her blood run cold.
