Chapter #12

How convenient!!

    by: Twines Author IconMail Icon
You slip off of the pipe and swing over onto a nearby window-sill, it creaks very loudly. It doesn't matter if your the strongest, or the smartest, or the most acrobatic-- when you're above such a high height, you will be frightened.

You freeze for a moment, and try to breath-- that was a thrilling adventure. There's still the matter at hand, the two anthros who are now on the roof. There is a very fast way down, and the way down would be to parkour. You are no acrobat, so you look to the window. When you try to open it, it's locked. You curse under your breath.

"Did you hear that?" Mira exclaims. "Someone's definitely here!" She says. The tiger immediately runs back down the stairs, but stops. "Stay here!"

"Pfft, whatever..." Sarah said. She wanted to go back to swimming, but now she's on the hot roof. She mumbles under her breath, "I'm a shark, not a lizard." She grunts. You hear thunderous footsteps fly down the stairs, and a door opens at the bottom floor. Mira runs out and looks around. Eventually, she sees you and gasps. You curse under your breath once again for letting yourself be seen. Was there really anything you could do about it anyway? I mean, you would have to get down eventually.

A couple minutes later, you hear the room's door unlock. There are curtains on the other side of the window, and to your left and right are no window-sills. You get ready for anything, but your hair stands on edge with your back to the open space below you. The curtains fly open. You meet the gaze of the two anthros who chased you. You've got a better look at them now, but they're just as surprised to see you... at least, the shark is. The tiger, Mira, expected to see you there. You see her slowly unlock the window, and try to open it. She opens her mouth to speak...

But you push the window open and land on Mira, who shrieks because of your sudden outburst. You roll off of her as she tries to get up. Sarah blocks the doorway, attempting to grab you. You juke her by dodging her arms. You roll under her legs and she doesn't expect it. Just as your about to get out of their grasp, something large hits you in the back of your head, completely stopping your forward motion. You look up to see the shark's tail had beat you down. You land on your stomach, pushing yourself off the floor, you try running again. Mira tackles you and pins you down. Apparently she got up.

"You're not going anywhere!" Mira exclaims. You struggle to get out of her grip, but she simply overpowers you. You grunt.

"Let me go!" You scowl. You have no intention of being turned in.

"Stop that, we're not going to hurt you." Mira growls. You immediately stop struggling. That growl was was of annoyance, and in your position, you don't want to have another stronger, larger anthro against you. "We're with you, and we don't want to hurt you-- now if you want to not be captured by Deluma's stupid goons, then I suggest you stop struggling." She calmly states.

You do so, and she gets off of you.

"What do you want?" You ask, obviously defeated. Mira starts asking you almost everything she can think of. It's repetitive, but you three get along over time. The three of you discussed about how and where you'll be going... except it wasn't your decision.
