You attempt to sit up, but the moment you do your back and right arm begin to flare with immense pain. It feels like someone set your arm on fire and scrubbed your back with a cheese grater. It was safe to say something was definitely wrong with you. You collapse back onto your back once again groaning in pain. You try to muster the strength to get up but before you can attempt it again you hear voices and footsteps coming towards you.

"I'm telling you I know what I heard, something definitely broke over here" A somewhat deep feminine voice insisted.

"And I'm telling you that you're imagining things" A lighter feminine voice replied.

"Not good..." You mutter as you groan and attempt to sit up yet again. through much pain and effort you manage to get yourself into a sitting position. You then crawl to the nearest shelf (that's still standing) and start using it to claw you're way back to your feet. It's then you notice that you're pant leg has deep red streams running down it, which indicated that you were bleeding. You're shirt also hat a blotch of blood on you're left forearm. "That's just great..." You mutter. You start trying to get yourself as far away from the voices as you can but you can barely walk, let alone run. Before you even make it out of the aisle, someone turns the corner.

"I'll bet its those rotten kids again.... no good pups with no discipline, always getting into trouble," The deeper voice speculates.

"You're probably right," The second voice sighed.

Your almost around the corner, but before you can make it, the two anthros round the corner. Both of them stare at you wide eyed and shocked. One is a polar bear. She's dressed in black jeans and a red t-shirt. Here eyes are blue and she had blonde hair the flowed down to her shoulders. She had to round ears on top of her head and a black nose at the end of her thick snout. Her body in general was thick, but evenly proportioned. The other anthro was a red fox. She had golden eyes and black hair tied back in a ponytail. Like the bear she also had a black nose at the tip of her snout. However she was nowhere near as thick as the bear was and was also considerably shorter. She had two pointed ears at the top of her head and a long bushy tail that at the moment seemed to lay still. She was wearing a white, pinstriped button up shirt with black pants and a red apron.

"Is that what I think it is or is it just me?" The polar bear asked.

"Well if you're imagining it then so am I..." The fox replied as they continued to stare at you.

For a moment, you forget that you're injured and try to run. You're only able to take a couple of steps before you fall to the ground and cry out in pain. You try to get up again but you just can't find the strength, so you begin crawling. You don't make it far though before the bear and fox come up on either side of you. The fox got on her knees beside your head and ever so slowly, she reached out to touch your arm. Seeing this, you irritably clenched your teeth and grunted at her before moving you're arm away from her. But you winced as this caused you pain.

"Calm down!" The fox chided, "You're hurt, let me take a look at you." She reached out again and gently grabbed your arm before pulling back the sleeve a carefully as she could. She gasped as she looked at you're injured appendage... must've been worse than you thought.

"That's not good at all..." the bear said as she watched the fox look over you're wounds.

"Can we help him?" The fox asked.

"I don't think he trusts us... Or wants our help. Besides, the police are going to show up here any minute for him anyway. I can hear the sirens as we speak... he was probably running from them to begin with" The bear sighed as she crossed her arms "I can only imagine that Deluma gave the orders for his capture, she's all about exploiting rare opportunities and what rarer of an opportunity than to get you're hands on a human?"

"Well we can't just hand him over to them!" The fox exclaimed.

"And why not?" The bear asked with a raised eyebrow.

"You know what they'll do to him! They'll lock him up in some secret lab and poke him and prod him. He'll never see the light of day again!" The fox cried as she grabbed you by your torso and held you against her own. "The poor thing can't even walk, there's no way he can defend himself!"

The bear stared at the fox, and then you... "Man... having a conscience can be a real pain..." She sighed. "Do you think you can keep him at you're place?"

The fox shrugged, "I don't see why not. My mom would be happy to help me look after him."

"Ok, let's get him to the delivery van. We'll hide him in one of the long boxes." The bear knelt down and carefully scooped you up in her arms. She as she carried you to another part of the store your vision began to darken. She glanced down at you and apparently noticed you were losing consciousness, "You'd better not die on us, if you conk out, you'd better wake up again." That was all you heard before you passed out into a dreamless sleep.

The next morning you stir in your sleep, your eyes flutter open... but where do you find yourself?
