Open Water

You decide the best idea would be to go for a swim. You could use a little extra exercise before you have to go. So you walk down the stairs Fran put in for you and then you walk out to the ocean. You strip down and then put on your bathing suit as you walk towards the water. But then you realize something. You look around and make sure Paisley isn't in sight.
You used to think that mermaids were a dream come true if they were real, but there was nothing dreaming about that mermaid. She was rude to the beach goers and she even spit at Roxy one time. What's worse is that she saw you as little more than a snack and you wouldn't be surprised if she was the reason you were the only survivor of the shipwreck. But fortunately she was nowhere in sight.
You sigh in relief and then swim out. You couldn't believe it. Even the shallow end of the water was deep to a human like you and as you swim out, you see just how deep it is. It's a good thing you're in top physical shape or this would end dangerously. But even with your muscles, you were weak as a kitten compared to monsters hundreds of feet tall.
