He chokes on the spores.

Tails gasps in his panick. A mouth full spores fill his throat and he begins to cough uncontrollably. Unable to breathe, the fox collapses to the ground, still surrounded by the now settling spore cloud. After several seconds of hacking, the fox clears her airways and can breathe again.

Now that the spores have been ingested, Tails can feel them begin to change her internally-- mentally.

Her thoughts become fuzzy for a minute. At first, the sudden feminine structure of her body was awkward and uncomfortable. Slowly, her mind twisted and the body became her and she almost forgot her male form. Rather than fearing the loss of the male aspects of herself, she became excited for the new feminine opportunities. She was almost filled with joy by the possibilities.
