2035--Focus of global scientists on human health turns to increasing improvement and lowered costs of gene therapy. By the end of the year even the world's poorest citizens can afford gene therapy to improve health. Over one thousand genetic diseases vanish almost overnight.
2037--A trend of side effects starts to show with the genetic modification which is split evenly along the gender lines. Overall female muscle mass and height starts to climb sharply while obesity in males skyrockets.
2040--Obesity across the male half of the species is total. Combined with plentiful harvests the average weight among male specimens worldwide is roughly two hundred kilos with vastly larger specimens recorded up to two metric tons in wealthier strata.
2041--Female muscle mass continues to rise with a culture of competitive fitness taking root worldwide. In urban environments or among indigenous cultures the human race begins to see martial prowess as a symbol of status among women.
2050--Obesity becomes a sign of pride and status among the males of the species. With their physical capacity diminsihed most men turn to eating as a matter of competition and pride, using their obesity to attract mates and gain status among other males. Males of the human species also see increased sexual appetite directly corresponding with body fat percentage. Women likewise come to associate obesity in men with virility and as a sign of good health.
2060--The New gender dimorphism is totally taken over, with males breeders and intellectuals while females become the leaders of society and its source of physical power. Ever increasing muscle mass and fat mass is now the goal of every girl and boy respectively.
