“Nah, it’s just my imagination.” May thought to herself as she trotted behind the boys. “Everything is fine.” Continuing the thought of reassurance to herself. “But why not check and be 100% positive, couldn’t hurt right? “ May resumed the inner monologue as she began to pick up the pace.

But as May approached the group she made two startling discoveries. The first being that despite closing the distance between herself and the boys they weren’t appearing any larger, in fact it almost seemed as though they’re size remained constant no matter how close she became. The second being the time it took to catch up was minimal despite not really putting all that much effort into the jog, almost as if her strides had gotten longer.

Max being ever so far behind turned to glance at his sister as she approached and said, “Jeez what’s the rush Slaking? You’re usually fine with sticking to the back of the pack?” He stated taken aback by her sudden and imposing appearance. May a bit thrown off by his comment failed to realize that she indeed was Brocks height now. “WHY CAN’T YOU JUST STOP TEASING ME FOR ONE LOUSY SECOND, IT’S NOT MY FAULT YOU’RE THE HEIGHT OF A GROVYLE!” May screamed not able to stand the constant ridicule any longer. “Man May you are way too emotional I was just given you grief.” Countered the small annoying tag along taking aback by her outburst and also feeling a new sense of intimidation from her.

Ash turned to look UP at her with concern but his expression was mixed with confusion as he caught her glare. “May wha-…., what’s wrong??” Was all the trainer could muster given this strange development. Brock decided to interject before this got any more out of hand, “Listen up how about we all just take a break here and have a snack to clear our heads.” Brock turned as he said this and caught May’s gaze directly but didn’t falter like ash and spoke clearly. “Alright yeah that sounds good, sorry Max it’s just that you can be so frustrating sometimes. Ash yeah I’m fine I just going through something at the moment and I am just trying to deal, ya’know.” May said curtly trying to take her mind off her changing body.
The group found a small clearing down the path just ahead, it had been a nice day out and May wished she messed with that remote and possibly ruined it. Brock pulled a picnic blanket out of his pack and laid began laying it out while Ash took a seat and propped up against a tree, Pikachu joined him and Ash responded by platting him on top of his yellow head. The tree Ash was seated at provided shade for the blanketed area, Max was hunched over and started fiddling with his bag. May went to take a seat on the blanket but before she could she felt a warm pleasant current surge threw her, and she inched ever so slightly larger.

She gasped quietly and quickly took her seat before the others had a chance to glance over fearing that her audible huff may have tipped them off. “Dang this isn’t stopping, what am I going to do?” She thought to herself in a panic. “What’s a couple more inches, besides it could be fun being the tallest.” May continued the inner dialog trying to steer this in a positive direction.

May now stands at 5ft. 10in.’s tall.
