The Mall

Sarah can't believe that she is being forced to go out on public barefoot with this crazy woman... What if her friends see? However she figures they,ll probably just head to the nearest shoe shop to buy some replacements for Anne.
Sarah feels the warmth of the tarmac underfoot as she walks over to Anne's car, only to be stopped in her tracks. "No my dear, we'll be walking" calls Anne cheerfully. Sarah's heart sinks as she looks down at her pretty little toes, so unused to being exposed. Knowing any argument would be futile, she walks over to Anne and they set off.
The walk takes abut half an hour and Anne is chatting the whole way, putting Sarah at ease, and she starts to forget being barefooted. This changes when they reach the mall and Sarah becomes conscious of people admiring their choice of footwear. Sarah is surprised by the fact that the trip does not include a trip to a shoe store, and instead they visit other shops, trying on clothes, and testing make up. She is even more surprised by how much she enjoys herself, and as they sit down for coffee, she tells Anne so. After a few hours, and a couple of minor purchases, they set off home.
