Chapter #6
Wait for the police to arrive
by: Unknown
"I'm sure someones called the police by now, they must be on their way." Of all the villains in Metropolis that couldn't be stopped by the police, the Fifth street filth gang weren't among them. If Maria could stall them long enough they'd be scared away by the police. She remained standing in a poised manner. "Aggravating me now will only make things worse for you in the future."
Alysa scoffed. "Yeah, and messing with us will make things worse in the now." She nodded at Samantha who promptly stuffed Amelia's face in her pit, causing the intern to let out a high pitched squeal as she struggled to escape.
Maria winced on her behalf. Whatever college credit she was getting from this, definitely wasn't worth it. She made a show of scoffing and turning away. "Oh, enough! Actions like this are precisely why I decided to run in the first place! Do you think proving my point will make me drop out?"
Alysa grinned in a devious fashion. "Oh, you telling me you don't care about your little friend?"
Maria stiffened at her words. "Of course I care," she said indignantly. "I care about protecting her, and the rest of this city. It's why I'm running, and why I won't let myself be bullied into submission by a group of has been criminals."
Alysa's eyes widened. "Has been criminals!?" Her surprise faded into rage. "You're going to regret saying that you prissy bitch!"
Maria bit her tongue. Perhaps she could be a little too brave sometimes. She drummed her fingers against the podium, praying that the police arrived soon.
"Give them a taste of your stink girls!" Alysa called over.
All at once the Fifth street filth gang ran amok in the crowd, grabbing whoever they could. Stuffing people into their pits or sitting and farting on them with their butts. Others were rendered unconscious from loud belches, which was probably a blessing considering how the air itself was starting to grow thick with stink.
Maria watched the scene unfold from the stage. Suppressing her horror as best she could. "What do I do?" She noticed Samantha free Amelia from her pits, only to grab her and force her onto her knees.
Amelia's eyes widened. "No, ple-" Before she could finish her face was shoved straight into the gangsters rear. Where she promptly released a barrage of gas on the helpless girl. Who could only scream and flail.
Maria took a couple steps toward them before she stopped herself. "There's nothing I can do now, I'm no fighter!" She chewed on her lip anxiously. Promising to make it up to the poor girl later. She glanced at the crowd, who seemed equally horrified by the turn of events.
"Just drop out!" a panicked citizen yelled.
"No, don't give in!" another cried.
If it was any consolation, the crowd seemed as divided on what to do as she was. Maria turned back to Alysa. "Stop this at once!"
Alysa snorted. "Yeah, or what?" She stalked toward her. "You can't win the election while sniffing the exhaust of my motorcycle!"
